The 2026 Seeds for Bees® program is now open! The application launched April 1st and will remain open until August 31st or until the program runs out of free seed. The program has some exciting new updates with their most popular seed mixes containing new additions. These components were selected based on preliminary data from a University of Oregon trial on common cover crop species and the value of their floral resources. Top performers from this data were selected and evaluated for their compatibility.
Another new addition to the program is giving participants the ability to mark which month they would like to have their seed delivered. This will allow forward-thinking participants to beat the lines and get their seed delivered early while giving the seed supplier more time to schedule deliveries for those who might not have space to store their seed before planting.
The application is short and easy to fill out. It can be found by going to Project Apis m.’s webpage and navigating to the Seeds for Bees tab. Applicants are encouraged to apply early as the program has been running out of free seed for the past few years.
